Born in Atlanta, GA and the son of Liberian immigrants, Rennie and Josie Curran, Rennie has a diverse background with humble beginnings. He began his football career at Brookwood High School, becoming the all-time leading tackler in Gwinnett County history. Despite being considered undersized by various critics, Rennie went on to make an immediate impact at the University of Georgia, where he became a 3-time All American, Butkus Award Finalist, and permanent team captain.
After being selected in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans, Rennie played with several professional teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Edmonton Eskimos, and BC Lions of the CFL. During his professional career, he built his current business and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, positioning himself for a successful transition into entrepreneurship.
As the CEO of Game Changer Coaching, Rennie has partnered with organizations such as The Jon Gordon Companies, RISE, Career Management Partners, and Transport Enterprise Leasing. His partners turn to him for guidance on leadership development, personal branding, career transitioning, and public speaking.
In 2013, Rennie authored Free Agent: The Intangibles for Overcoming Adversity and Times of Transition, a motivational self-help book that draws from his personal experiences to help others navigate change and challenges. He also co-authored the children’s book What Does It Take to Be a Star? with his daughter Eleana. The book taps into every child's curiosity to find their own personal greatness by helping them to realize that being a Star has less to do with your title and more to do with who you are as a person.
When he’s not working with clients or delivering keynote speeches, Rennie enjoys playing the piano, spending time with his daughter, and cherishing moments with his fiancée, Morgan Summers. He is deeply committed to giving back through his Game Changers Foundation, which helps student-athletes become leaders on and off the field, and through his involvement with organizations like the Boys and Girls Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
